Default Anyone know what this is or where it is supposed to go?

1995 Dodge Ram 5.9L 4x4 - Does anyone know what this is or where it is supposed to go? It is attached to a rubber hose that comes out of the top of the transfer case. I don't see where it would be attached or bolted to. I am wondering if the brass piece is broken and the other end is somewhere that I just don't see. I appreciate any help! Thanks

1995 Doge Ram 5.9L 4x4 - This brass piece is attached to a rubber hose coming out of the top of the transfer case. I don't see where it should be bolted to or where it goes. I found it just hanging underneath the truck. I am wondering if the brass piece is broken and the other end is somewhere that I just don't see, I hope the link of the picture will work, Thanks again for your help!

Thank you for that info,,,,,I'll get back under the truck and fasten it to something. I appreciate all of the help on this!

I bet he is talking about the green vacuum line from the transfer case. The one that is just a vent, and doesn't go anywhere.

Hook it up as an attachment, or, created photobucket/imageshack account, and use the image tags to link it to your post. I suspect there is a tutorial on youtube for just such an occasion.

Use postimage.org no account required, just upload the image ,copy the link listed as Hotlink for forums then remove everything out side of the [img] tags.

It's a vent line. It just bolts somewhere up out of the way. (preferably, somewhere up high enough that it doesn't go under water on stream crossings, and such.)
