When I scanned the ecm there was no engine codes. But the throttle was acting very strange. You would just touch the throttle, not even moving the throttle plates and the rpm would jump to about 1200-1300 rpm and then fall back to 700-800 and I couldn't gradually and smoothly increase the rpm. It just wanted to jump to higher rpm's. That was my indicator that the tps was probably bad. Since changing it throttle response is the way it should be and the transmission is shifting when it is supposed to. It's like a whole new truck.

PCM getting strange readings from the TPS would certainly create some interesting issues. So far as the PCM was concerned, you would have been randomly moving the gas from idle, to WOT....... That would confuse me too.
