Default 01 Cab Swap? Should I?

So my cab is in pretty crappy shape, it definitely needs rockers. The fenders are pretty messed up now that I look at it , it needs a patch underneath where the e-brake line is. The driver side door doesn't close all the way, the driver side rear door doesn't open and my hood is starting to lose it's paint. So I found an exact black 01 with not a speck of body rust for 1500. The bed is a long bed so it's of no use to my 6.5 ft bed but should I definitely pick it up for my truck? Is it easy to do a cab swap if I were to get it done at a shop? I know they're some heavy bastards

Paying someone to do that is going to be expensive. You could likely find a rust free truck, that just needs a good motor, and spend less money.

If you can find a cheap cab and can let your vehicle sut while you work on it or learn how to, then do it!
