Default Rotor and hub removal

I have a 97 2500 4x4 , I can't get the hub and rotor off
I have removed the 4 bolts on The backside,I removed The wheel studs, I removed the large nut on the spindle ,The Hub will come forward about three quarters of an inch from the rotor. And I cannot get it to go any farther. The rotor is loose also.

I had the same issue on my 2500. I was replacing both the wheel bearing assembly hubs and the rotors so I used a good sized hammer and beat the hell out of them to get them off. They were just rusted in place so bad. They had 310000 miles on them when I replaced them.

Put some anti-seize on the axle splines when you put it back together.

Aren't the rotors staked on with the lug studs on the back side of the hub flange??

Yep he said they removed them. That changed in 99 though with disc brakes coming into play in the rear in 01.5
