Default Need help engine making a pinging noise

I got a 98 Dodge 1500 on hard acceleration can hear the valves rattling can anyone tell me how to get this to stop I know I can't adjust the time it get it to stop stopped is there anything else I can do and can any one tell me on hard acceleration where should my timing Advance 2

Timing is purely controlled by the PCM, there is no adjustment, at all.

If you are getting the 'marbles in a tin can' sound on hard acceleration, that is probably spark knock.... A common problem. Usually, it's due to a blown plenum gasket on the intake manifold. Easy to check, just pull off the air filter housing, crack the throttle wide open, and have a look. (flashlight is good for this exercise.) If you see oil in there, you just found the root cause of the issue.
