It says the recall is for 3500 series only, this is a 2500 gas.My head light switch is good I believe, have changed it out already and same symptoms appeared. Are you an owner of a 96 dodge by any chance?Asking because I have a box almost the size of a relay box that is located on the rear end bolted to the frame,in between the leaf springs basically,it has threaded bolts I guess on the inside that are labeled for the wiring. Will upload pictures soon.
Thx,Devin😀

I have a 96 2500 gas also and i had this problem. I believe the recall should have been for the 2500's also. Reason is the 2500 have more lights than a 1500 but not as many as the 3500. Main problem is amp draw threw the switch. The terminals(both on the switch and the harness) heat up and cause a high resistance condition. You might want to look at the harness where it plugs into the headlight switch.
