Didn't pay attention to your year but the Mopar Part No.: 52029189AD for the 2001 1500 5.9 is the same for a 2002 5.9 gas 2500. That's with the cooler line connections. I don't know why the non cooler line radiator doesn't fit. Here is a Murray part number that fits a 2002 Ram 2500 5.9 without cooler lines. Murray 432514. I cross referenced the number and there is a lot of mfg out there.

I actually got it tied in yesterday since im messing with rebuilding the front suspension steering this weekend and didn't want to mess with that part since the hubs are always a bear. Truly appreciate all the help with it and apologize for any confusion

Just my .02, we bypass most factory radiator coolers when possible. Some exceptions. The radiator acts as a "warmer", yes it will help stabilize trans temps, but it does heat up the fluid to a certain temp and then keeps it there. If you want lower temps, bypassing it will make that happen. We are in a hot climate most of the year, usually only gets freezing maybe for a month. If you are in a colder climate you want to keep that warmer, as the fluid will get too cold in the winter. Another area of concern is the radiator cooler failing and filling the trans with coolant. Not super common but it does happen quite a bit on certain vehicles, non are immune though.

I have this transmission cooler you are talking about in my truck and it’s leaking. Do you by chance know where I can find instructions on how to disconnect the lines?

You need the
quick-release tool quick-release tool
. Don't get the double-ended fellers, they don't fit down at the radiator.

The perfect set, in the link HeyYou has. Don't get the plastic ones. Buy once, cry once. This won't be the last time you use them.
