2000 cutting out

Default 2000 cutting out

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9 l that cuts off while driving ? Do anybody know what could be wrong ? Check engine light on code reads p-1491 relay circuit???

Another one? The P1491 code is for the Radiator Fan control circuit. Which your truck does not have.

I don't know this off hand but did they ever come from the factory with an electric helper fan like the Durangos and Dakotas did?

Not that I am aware of. I've never seen one.... I don't think I ever saw an option code for it either.

Im to lazy to look it up right now but I don't think so either because, as you said, I never seen one.
