How difficult is it to drop a transmission and put an exact same kind back in? Does it just bolt right up? Are they super heavy and require a engine lift? I am wondering how hard it would be to drop one and slap another one in.

A jack of some sort to lift it is going to be in order. I wouldn't want to try and bench-press it in there. Aside from that, not too bad of a job.
