Brake light and reverse light problem

Might be the turn signal switch that is bad, because if the turn signals work that means the wiring is good. Also if the cab mounted brake light works, that means the brake light switch is good. So only thing that comes to my mind is the turn signal switch. When the turn signal is not on, switch in center position, both brake lights can be activated. But if the contacts at the center position are bad, brake lights won't work.
