Default Brake light and reverse light problem

So I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 and my reverse light fuse keeps blowing. I'll put a new fuse in the lights will work for a day or 2 and then the fuse will blow.
Also my brake lights aren't working as well as the running lights but the blinker works and the cab light works with the brakes any solutions?

You have a wiring issue. Download your FSM from the FAQ section

Start with cleaning the grounds.

Actually very simple and there should be a guide at the beginning of 8W which is the wiring section

IIRC, it's explained on the FSM. Can't really remember. But since it's blowing fuse regulary, apply parking brake, turn the key to the run position (don't start the engine) and shift to reverse. Then crawl under the truck and wiggle the wiring loom and see if it blows the fuse. Then you are at the area where the wiring is bad. Doing it at night might be even better, that way you'll see if there is sparks from shorted wire.

yea so I took off the wire harness for the trailer hookup cause I found several spots where the wire was exposed in it so maybe that'll fixed the reverse light. I put a new fuse in and I'll see if it blows.
As far as the brake light since the top one still works, it cant be the fuse so I'm looking for where ever the ground is for the two rear lights haven't found anything yet. could the brake switch be working for the cab light and not the two rear ones?

Probably that same trailer harness. They are notorious for causing issues with the rear lights.

Might be the turn signal switch that is bad, because if the turn signals work that means the wiring is good. Also if the cab mounted brake light works, that means the brake light switch is good. So only thing that comes to my mind is the turn signal switch. When the turn signal is not on, switch in center position, both brake lights can be activated. But if the contacts at the center position are bad, brake lights won't work.
