Default Got it running now with a jasper

So put a jasper in and got it running been driving for a week now and my issue is and not sure if it was a problem before the engine went because I never heard it run before but...when I first start in the morning it runs rough for the first minute or so stumbling and sucking air through the throttle body hard, i can throttle through it and once it warms up it starts and idles fine the rest of the day any help is appreciated

How is your fuel pressure? Has the plenum been fixed?

Bad O2 sensor did that to me years ago. Also remove and thoroughly clean the throttle body and Idle Control valve (just don't move the pintle!)

Yes sir I fixed the plenum checked numerous times for a vacuum leak, i put new o2’s in two days ago Bosh ones from orileys guess one could be faulty but I would think it would throw a code I haven’t actually put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail honestly but that is a good idea it starts flawlessly though

The only code it has thrown is manifold absolute pressure shorted high...so I put a map sensor on and that didn’t help

Our trucks don't like bosch O2 sensors...... But, for the first couple minutes of run time, the PCM ignores them anyway.

Are you still getting the MAP code?

How old are your plugs, and what type?

No sir no codes...only time engine light came on is when I let it idle trying to find the source of the sucking air sound and it eventually choked itself off I figured the manifold pressure code was thrown because it choked itself off but put a map sensor on it just in case and it didnt solve the issue

How's the little rubber elbow for the map sensor look? A vacuum leak there will make it run funny.

If it runs fine after a few minutes...... I would suspect fuel pressure, or maybe a temp sensor.....

I went and got a Denso o2 sensor and put in I’ll try that for a few days the temp sensor is new also...if this new 02 sensor don’t do the trick I’m gonna agree and say fuel related,,, I appreciate all the ideas and help keep it coming
