now I know that it’s probably best to replace this anyway but is there any possible way this could be related to the issue?

That's just the PCV valve, I doubt it is the problem.

Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor. I had that problem on my 02 2500 with the v8.

Today I replaced the crank sensor, no difference, still sputters sometimes under load. Hasn’t died yet but it has sputtered. Could injectors be causing this problem? Almost all the sensors look new, even the old crank sensor looked newer. At a loss.

also, in case anybody else is having this issue and wondering if it is safe to drive: I drove it with this problem about 450 miles from Cleveland back to mid illinois. Died five times but started back up.

I had a neighbor come out with a timing light tool, it’s getting spark to all cylinders.
Did you rev it up to the point it starts acting up then check it? Check spark right off the coil wire then the cylinders. From the video you posted sounds like ignition to me.
