Default Using 4wd low range without engaging front end.

2001 dodge ram 150 4x4.
Quick question. If I disconnect the vacuum line from the front axle, will the front end not engage if I put it in 4 low? I need to tow a trailer up a steep winding road and would like the extra umf to get up the hill. Dont want to break something making the turns as a couple are pretty sharp.

Yep. That's work just fine, and is a lot easier than taking out the driveshaft. Disconnect BEFORE you shift into 4 wheel drive though.
