Well??? the fuel rail has zero pressure. The hard line under driver seat basically is leaking. I pulled it off and cranked it over a few times to see if it was plugged and fuel spewed all over. I cranked on it a few times to try and clean out the line. I just wonder if what ever was plug n it is now plugged the injectors? I had to use my original fuel rail because the hacks that removed the donor engine destroyed the rail on it! In to much of a hurry to simple remove 6 bolts and take the rail and the injectors off!! Hmm? There is a black plastic ring with a yellow O ring on it between the hard line clip and the braided fuel line going up to the fuel rail. wonder if change n that O ring would keep this from leaking?? HELP!!!!! (As i sit here stink n of gasoline and shaking my head!!)

Theres a hard line along the inside of the frame and right about inline with the drivers seat is where the hard line meets the braided line that goes up to the back of the fuel rail. That fitting leaks badly. I pulled it apart and cranked the engine over to blow it out. Some fuel came out but when i put the connection back on and cranked it. It still leaked. When i checked it again, there was a jelly substance present. Looks like sit n since xmas 2019 ruined the already crappy fuel in it?

They did you a favor leaving the injectors in, without them you'd likely have at least two cylinders open to water intrusion from any water on top of the intake during transport.

I put the engine on a pallet in seattle and wrapped it in plastic because i thought it was gonna ride up to alaska on a fishing boat. it was water proof!

When i pulled the old engine apart. the fuel rail was full of rust. the top of the injectors were orange as well! so clearly the rainforest of Southeast Alaska has taken its toll! covid hasnt been much of a help either!! lost my killer union job!!! use to tie up cruise ships! key word "use to"!

That's not clipped in all the way. You can see the plastic retainer feller is out of place.

The plastic clip looked fine. The O ring was yellow and was around a plastic ring. It also looked fine to me. However, i truely believe any O rings could stand to be replaced after 21 years. I will say this, this fuel line has never leaked before. Ethanol is a nasty by product. Winter gas has more in it then summer gas and i now have 35 gallons of nastiness in that tank.

I had to fly to seattle to help out my family. So i will hit the truck junkyard down the hill and design a new fuel system. Dodge is notorious for NOT having a good inline fuel filter in its system! Im an engineer on a fishing boat! i can cut the hard line, flare the ends and fit a marine fuel/water separator inline to deal with this problem!!! wont be back in alaska until may 11th! cheers y'all!!

I went to the Truck wrecking yard in Auburn, Washington and found a 99 V10 dodge fuel line. $20! My question? Is there any harm in cut n a section out and flare n the ends to install a fuel filter? The feminine napkin in the tank just doesnt seem to cut it!
