98 v10 47re question
So, the transmission on my 2500 v10 has started jumping out of overdrive and locking back up when hanging around 55-60mph on the speedometer, and after leaving it sitting for a few days, it takes a little idling in drive or a good 2-2.5k rpm to get it moving, and even then it's lethargic for a little after. Is this a symptom of low line pressure? And if so, what should I do to the transmission? Shift kit, maybe TC? I use it for more hauling and commuting than I do towing, and don't really want to build the entire thing. Gears 1-4 shift smooth and don't slip, but it does like to drop from 4th to 2nd (I think, it might be 3rd to 1st, I'll have to pay attention next time) going up a steep hill at lower speed, one that it could easily make up in 3rd
Any ideas?

How many miles on it? When was the last time it had a fluid/filter/band adjustment? If you are over 100K miles, I would be tempted to replace the governor pressure sensor/solenoid while you were in there as well.
If you get an rpm bounce of about 200 rpm or so, when just cruising along, maintaining speed, replace the throttle position sensor.

When crusing it locks up well, and holds well at 1600. When I let off the gas it jumps anywhere from 1700-2000 rpm before going back to 1500, and does the same when I apply throttle again before it locks up. It doesn't slip going up hills, but really likes to hold gears for awhile. I'll let off the gas a little going up hill and it will stay downshifted, and doesn't upshift till it levels out some
