Default New toy: 2001 Sport OFF ROAD

I have been searching for one of these for awhile, never could find the right one. 2001 Sport with the off road package. 360 automatic. Transmission rebuilt 2 months ago. It’s in decent shape, but does need some work. Even has the original window sticker. $2800.00

Welcome to the board. Nice looking truck!
I always like the Offroad editions and felt dodge should have made more. I even add the tow hooks and bumper to my 01 2500.

Love that hood.
Is it functional or just for looks?

Short answer: Looks.

Long answer: The original owner cut an offset hole on the bottom side and tried to get it to work. The V10 has the throttle body on its side and facing the drivers fender so it's not easy to get the plumbing to work right and not ingest water during rain or after washing. When I bought it there was plastic tubing that had been duct taped to a badly modified factory airbox. I did a bunch of reading and found the factory set up flows more air than the motor needs, and it gets it from right behind the left headlight so it's close enough to fresh outside air that I decided to go back to stock and reinstalled the factory intake set up I found on ebay.
