Default Frame differences from 2001 to 2008

I purchased a 2001 4x4 cummins truck with damaged cab. Want to know if a 2008 frame has same mounts and can I just bolt up a 2008 cab to my frame?

Nope. Won't work. You need a 2nd gen cab. Likely 98 or newer.

Correct as the 97 and down doesn't have the provisions for the EVAP bracket but it can be drilled if need be. Also the steering stabilizer mounts are different
