Default purge solenoid vibrating and buzzing loudly

Changed out my purge solenoid with a factory mopar part, and now the purge solenoid, which has only 3 miles on it is buzzing loudly at idle. Seems the buzzing noise is being caused by something inside vibrating as when I put my hand on it I can feel it. It is hooked up correctly and has all new lines running to it so not sure what is going on. Is this part just bad? Or is something in the evap system causing it to buzz? Also, how hot is it supposed to get, as mine got really hot after driving the car for several minutes.

That sounds like a bad part.

The purge solenoid should make a clicking noise at idle, not "buzz". You mite wanna check your ground connections, especially the ones that are on the engine. I know these beasts don't like to werk properly without their grounds in good condition.
