Default 96 2500 5.9 CUMMINS auto

Hello everyone, this is my first post.
My 96 Ram has a 5.9L with an automatic transmission.
I parked it for a few years and it ran fine then, when I decided to use it again the transmission started slipping so I switched out the oil and filter but nothing.
Any ideas on what steps to take next?
I just changed the oil in the pan, I couldn't get to the oil in the torque converter.
Thanks

Did you adjust the bands? ATF+4 fluid?

Just replaced the fluid and filter.
Do the bands need adjusting when the fluid is changed?

Thanks,

Every 30,000 miles if I remember correctly. Also, these transmissions don't pump fluid in park. You need to check the fluid level in neutral or it will read higher than it really is. Stupid design.
