my truck put a code out, and it was the #8 missfired. i look at the wire and a rat chewed through it. i had my old spark plug wires in my shop so i replaced it so i can drive. now since that wire i weaker than the others the truck shakes at cruising speeds. can't spend the money on it cause my gas in the house blew a line, so now i have to fix that. we're having christmas at my house too. sucks

 

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes concerning your truck and house.

I had a friend of mine that blew his head gasket and cracked the head on his Chevy a while back. He couldn't afford to have the dealer fix it so I said we could give it a shot as I'm fairly handy spinning wrenches. He had it dropped off at my house and we pushed it into our 1 car garage. It was the heat of summer in south Florida so I guess the mice were rather hot as well. Long story short, he left the windows cracked in his car and we didn't get to it until the weekend. Seems that some mice decided to call it home; during which they chewed through his back seat, his passenger seat, his seatbelts and his amp wires in the trunk. To say the least, we were both pissed.

i feel your pain. i just got my 1500 running after a year and a half of it sitting under a tree. there are mousepiles all over my seats and carpets, a few dead carcasses on the floor, my heater vent controls no longer function, the blower only works on high, and the whole thing smells like feces. now i have to take apart all of my heater boxes and blower housings to clean them, rewire some stuff, and shampoo the whole truck.

oh yeah, the radio no longer works either...[:@]

 

Dang man, I feel for ya, especially on feeling up your gas tank right now with no $$$.

Let me ask you, is the flowmaster system you have a true dual?

If it is, is it too too loud?

 

Man where the heck do you guys live that rats are eating the wires? Youd think there would be better things to eat in life than spark plug wires!

them damn things eat anything. i put out those blocks of poison and they were gone the next morining. i don't have the true duals funny man, but its 3" in 2.5" dual out dumped in front of the rearend. its not too loud untill you get up to 3k rpms then it gets kind of loud. i love how it sounds. it has a sound of its own, i can always tell when my wife gets home before she's even on our road.

 

Rats are the worst!! That creature should never have been invented![:@]
