01 2500 issue

Default 01 2500 issue

I was driving today just cruising in 4th gear and all of a sudden I lost all power the turbo made a very loud blowoff sound white smoke came out of the exhaust and a couple seconds later power came back and it went back to normal anyone have any ideas I was thinking maybe a lack of fuel but I’m not really sure any idea please leave them

Start by checking the fuel pressure. That era diesels are notoriuos for lift pump failures, which then leads to a injection pump failure.

so you think I should check the lift pump? Maybe upgrade to a fass fuel system?

I would check it first, and see if it has failed, if it has, upgrading the system is a REAL good idea. (and it's merely a 'good' idea if it hasn't. )
