Default 98 ram 5.2 hesitation around 45 mph and sometimes at idle

I went from a plugged cat and not being able to drive past 25 to 30 mph (hollowed the cat changed plugs) to frequent rough idling and low rpm hesitation (replaced pickup coil, distributor cap and rotor, idle air control, and replaced the crankshaft position sensor which was the only code that has been thrown) to shaking and making a banging noise under the driver floor around 45 mph (changed front o2 sensor no change) tested tps and its reading good

These trucks really only like Mopar sensors and Denso or NTK O2 sensors, that could be your problem

knock on wood but 50 miles have been put on it since the last hesitation. Do they need to be driven to relearn the new electronics?

Just a question, when you say hesitation do you mean the rpm’s go up and the truck does not move or like just some power loss and its slower than it should be?

it feels like the truck his bucking. The rpms will bounce a little and eventually falls into the next gear. However when my cat was plugged it had no power the rpms would go up but it wouldn't go much faster.

I did not. I cant speak for the fella who installed the other parts however I believe they did because I seem to remember having to reset my clock. However 2 more 8 mile round trips today and not a single hiccup. I'm hoping and praying it stays that way.
