Unhappy EGR transducer valve vacuum hose 95 dodge ram 1500

i have an 95 dodge ram 1500 v8 5.2l , and just changed egr valve that came with a new transducer, However transducer is slightly different (see attached pic) with a vacum line outlet that my original; didnt have and was wondering what vacum line may go to it. ive researched and googled diagrams but cant come up with anything. Its the 2nd pic on right on the cylinder that stamped VAC with the arrow pointing towards egr valve without a hose attached. is this suppose to be left open?

If you are talking about the nipple that the arrow is pointing at, that is where source vacuum goes.

Vacuum source. I.E. one of the nipples on the side of the intake manifold.
