Default Nag1 trans in a 5.2/46re ram

Could it work? How would it work? I can get one with low miles for $150 cause my 46re is going to crap and I need a more reliable transmission. Thanks.

Nope. Won't bolt up, and no way to run the trans.

Alright. What trans would you recommend for an upgrade or would a rebuild kit work better?

Rebuild. Trying to adapt to pretty much anything else would be outrageously expensive...... If you are set on an auto, look in the MonteC's transmission corner thread, on page six, he has a list of upgrades for a guy that regularly towed 7K pounds. I am thinkin' that would be a pretty stout trans. Either that, or a mega-viper. (stage II or III) Those are not inexpensive though......
