Default 2500 gas trans?

Ok so I’ve been posting a lot on here, because I need a new transmission in my 98 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd. So I went to a pull a part today and the only trans I think I found that might work is in a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 gas. Are these the same transmissions? Will they fit?

These aren’t great photos I know but they are all I could get.

That's a 2wd on a pictures. 5th digit on a VIN is C, 4wd would be F.

Yep. The only difference is the end of the O/D housing casting. 2 and 4 wd are rather different.

Yeah, I am admin here. (that's why I am Blue, and it says "Administrator" under my nic.

But, I started out as a know-nothing newbie here. I have learned a LOT about dodge trucks while here..... (likely more than I ever thought I would WANT to know...... I used to do the wrench-turning thing for a living, but, got seriously tired of doing it. Moved into computers, which is what I do for a living now.... but, I don't buy new vehicles, and I discovered automotive forums back in the 90's, and they were a TREMENDOUS help to me. So, I am semi-retired now.... might just as well do something worthwhile with my time. Besides, I have FUN doing this. Now, if I could only figure out a way to get PAID for it.
