Default Need help!!!

So I replaced my shift solenoids in my 96 2500 2wd. And on reinstall I didnt get the park road in the right spot so my rod was binding and wouldnt go into gear. So I let it sit for couple months thought it's easy fix I'll get back to it. Well today I tackled it again with some help I had my brother turn the drive shaft to get the park rod in. I suppose it went in cause the drive shaft and wheels wouldnt turn anymore so I bolted up the valve body and got in the truck and tried to put it in gear and still the same issue it will not come out of park. So I did it again and still no luck it still wont come out of park the shift will move just a lil and so will the orange line but will not go any further

Disconnect the linkage at the trans, see if you can move it by hand, and verify that the shift lever on the column will move as well. See what ya get.

I finally got it I took the park rod off the valve body and put it in that way. But I am curious on how many quarts of transmission fluid it should take to refill it.

Up to six or so, if you had it open for a while. Start with four, go from there.

Make sure you check the level in neutral and use ATF+4 fluid.
