Default Serious problems with my 2nd gen.

Hello everyone. Here’s my problem. When I cold start my truck and put it in drive, I have to force the peddle down for the truck to actually start moving. When I come to a stop light/sign, I have the do the same thing also. When I’m finally up to speed let’s say I’m at 60-65 mph, if I let off the gas it backfires like it’s trying to downshift but can’t. Today I drove it after two days of it just sitting in the yard. The transmission has a slow leak and the “trans temp” light was also on. I just don’t know what it could be because after I stopped and let it cool down, it was fine and I didn’t have to force the peddle down for it to actually go. Someone suggested that it could be something with the torque converter and to drain all the fluid out and refill. Also, this probably has nothing to do with it but I also have a misfire. Anything helps so thanks for any advice that’s given! Forgot to add, the trans was rebuilt at about 175k, I’m now at 204k

Bad torque converter or the motor could have dead cylinders. Causing it to lack power

What do you mean by 'force the pedal down'?? Does it require a lot of effort to step on the gas? Do you have to give it a lot of gas to get it to move? Does the engine rev, but the truck doesn't move??

I'm assuming he means he needs more pedal to move
