Default 94 Ram Cab Removal

I have a 94 Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab Long Bed. The frame rusted out by the gas tank and a few other place's. I though of welding in new Steel But i decided on Doing a Frame swap. How would i go about removing the cab? can it be done without taking the Fender and front off and just unplug harness or what all do i need to do? Is there a Service manual i need to get and if so which would be the best one? Greatly appreciate the help

Gonna move this to the 2nd gen ram section for ya. (as that's what you have. ) You can download the service manual for your truck from here. I suspect you could pull the cab, complete with the front clip, but, that's a lotta weight to be moving around, and not sure how well the fenders and stuff forward will feel about it.

I did frame swap in 8hrs shoptime, but with 2 lifts and a forklift a streesless job.If wou are doing this in the driveway, perhaps a few days. Most wiring can be un-pluged on the firewall to remove the motor and tranny as a unit.Take pics with smartphone or camara for where and how to re hook-up, Front control arms leave assembled, just takeout in 1 pic you will see the mounts on the frame.Un-bolt and move in one unit. This saves nut &bolt dis-assemble.Same with rear hanger and shackels from frame and roll back.Everything else,as its removed put on the new frame.Mopar new frame 1250.00 dollars and there sill avaible, comes crated and ready for paint or powder coat .Give me a yell if I can help>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

It will bolt up, but mounts are different. Brake lines changed in the front. It can be used but you will be ordering a lot of parts. Basically you'll need the parking brake cables and soft brake lines.

The nice thing about the body off the frame ,you can see where everything goes..Holesare already in frame to mount brakelines and misc items, steering gear and other parts,All thats on old frame will be used on new.No parts to order for brake line or E brake. And if new holes are needed the frame is wide open.Just take the time and do it right the first time.
