Question XRF ball joints - any good?

Has anyone installed the XRF million mile ball joints? I'm about to completely restore a front 2nd gen front Dana 60 and wondered if anyone had any experiences with these ball joints.

Couple members have used them, and liked them. Of course, couple folks didn't care for them either...... Most folks recommend the Moog Premium parts. Apparently they have a couple different levels of 'quality'...... I still think they are all just cheap, chinese made crap.

I am on my 3rd set. 1st lasted about 5 years greasing them here and there. 2nd set uppers wore out in a year, greased every oil change. 3rd has been OK so far, not a ton of miles though. No off-road and light driving / good roads.

Would i I buy again? Probably not. I haven’t switched brands because replacements are free. I am not sure what I would buy otherwise, every brand seems to be hit or miss....

I think you will have more problems with 1500's from what i read on the forums. I also have a 2500(dana60) and replaced my originals with moog some 20 years ago and 160K since then with no issues.

Sounds like Moog, McQuay-Norris or Spicer ball joints will end up being the replacements. Thanks for the feedback.

There's a guy on another forum that has tested ball joints. He says Spicer are the best unless you get the spendy rebuildable ones. I've had good results with them. I have XRF steering linkage on my Excursion for quite a few years and it's nice and tight yet. Moog seems like the old stuff was really good quality. What they are offering currently seems like junk.
