Cutting the Slip Yoke?

Yeah, I think that is a rather rare bird. Not sure I have ever seen one.......

Me neither haha. So looks like best option would be find a 2500 and have it shortened. The shaft on the slip yoke should be the same size... in theory

You really don't gain anything by cutting the slip yoke. You would need to cut the output shaft too, as it would hit the bottom of the yoke. Pictured is my 2500 two piece rear shaft yoke, there is still some room to go deeper.
1410 u-joint, yoke od 48 millimeters or 1.89"
