Speedometer not workinh

Restoring a 98 2500 4wd 5.9 been sitting for 11 years. Got it running and driving. Speedometer doesn't work. My shop manual has no information. Where is source of input. got the tach working and redid sensor.

Do you have a scanner to look at the output sensor signal? It could be the sensor at the transmission.
