there's timing gear sets out there, but ive never seen a slant cut drive. NEAT!
maybe ill be tearing thus truck apart while im quarantined at home cause of this stupid covid19 nonsense!
after all this site is about the nostalgia over these 2nd gens and how we have joined together in how to fix them. not to brain wash and force opinions on each other to be "right" within a minds eye.
my comp cam double roller was lose. I tossed it. my cloyes double was the same. so I went in a third time and did my chain.
the chain tensioner, from what I understand, is to help the precision between the crank and cam sensors. slack in the chain for a few degrees does register in the sensors. that slap happens during the transition event between accel and decal. also like wise the event between decal and accel. and yes it doesn't help tighten the load side just help load the slack side.
IN MY OPINION! I like it, and I believe to notice the function in the way it runs. if any a little bit!
