Default Gooseneck questions

If this isnt the right place, please delete/move it. I'm looking to get a gooseneck trailer, and my truck has a plate for some sort of hitch in the bed, it has the bolt holes for a 5th wheel rail, but also has an apparent hole for a gooseneck ball. The mount isnt threaded, doesn't have a latch, or anything. All it is is a cutout in the bed that runs down through an I-beam and steel reinforcement block welded to each other and welded to the frame. It doesnt have safety chain loops, so I'll add those, and it has that random wood block that pivots to cover the mounting hole. I'm just wondering what I need, and if it's safe enough to handle a 16+3 10k GVWR gooseneck. Thanks.

the wood block mentioned above can be seen in the last two pictures, partially covering the hole, and randomly hanging down there respectively

Mine doesn't thread, it just slips in and then locks with a latch that's undone by pulling the rod that goes from the ball out to the wheel well.

oh, I just looked at your again and didn't even notice it was on a beam. I'm not sure how your works as far as locking in.

Maybe it uses a ball that has a pin that slides through like a tow hitch?

you mean a pin that goes through below the beam, and not through the beam? That would make sense. Where could I find one? It's got no rod, that was the first thing I looked for

Something like this?

I didn't look too hard but didn't see anything with 2" smooth shank with a pin.
