Did you replace the controller with a reman or one out of another vehicle?

I had/have similar issues. I'm no expert, but I have done some research on the subject. If you have a no bus indication, a lot of the time it means that the pcm bus has lost its 5 volt reference signal. It would way too easy if that were the only cause, but it is a likely one. I would start by inspecting all of the harnesses. Should be 3 connected to the pcm. If they're all good, a little dielectric grease on the connections shouldn't hurt anything. There's a couple of harnesses on the firewall in the cab, below and to the left of the steering wheel, one had a 10mm head bolt on it. If they look all good, a little more dielectric grease might be a good idea. Another connector in the fuse box. If there's no obvious problems with wiring, you might check the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. Good luck
