Default IMRON Tractor Paint

Has anyone ever tried spraying their rig with IMRON Fleet Paint. Seems like a very durable single stage if the semi’s are using it.

Not whole truck, but used some leftover black IMRON for a truck frame, held up well I thought.

Thanks man, was it hard to spray? Heard it’s pretty thick and tends to orange peel.

It's also used on airplanes..... It is indeed very tough. Thing is though, you need to spray entire panels, it does not blend well. (at all....)

Thanks brother, yeah out here in California EPA stuff is pretty crazy I might drive out to Arizona to get it sprayed out there. But I like the idea how tough and durable it is.

Was in Montana many years ago, none of the current environmental terror you must be living with in CA. As I recall, reduced it a bit with acetone, not the expensive reducer. Catalyzed urethane was somewhat new then and I was no painter. Laid out well, but the surface condition of the frame would have hidden any mistake I could have made. DP40 primer I believe, another catalyzed product.
