Since I have the motor out I am going to replace the pan gasket (leaking) filter and assist the bands. I know you tighten then to 72in-lbs but what is the adjustment out? 2 fill turns right?

 

That, or, as another tech has suggested, a quarter to a half inch of free plat at the actuator......

 

Question my 360 heads are cracked (Who knew ) I have a set of good 318 heads off of a rebuilt Jasper motor. Are the heads the same CFM? I don't want to choke the 360
EDIT: Aren't cracked was just carbon. I'm still taking them to get them checked

 

I'm pretty sure it's a little smaller so they've bump the compression and you have to watch out on the valve but I doubt it would be an issue.


I have some 99 360 heads and valves that I just had machined and checked.

 

That's what I'm going to do. Have to drop them off tomorrow, but according to Hughes both heads are the same
