2x2 to 4x4 swap

Not going to be cheap, or worth it, either way you do it. Easiest way (and only viable option if you just need a 4 wd truck) is to sell or trade your 2wd to a 4wd. Next would be body swap if you can find a solid frame with rotted body.
Next from easy to hard would be a long arm or radius arm front suspension, because they require new frame brackets anyway. Front suspension is the most time consuming part on a whole swap. I wouldn't even consider going to stock suspension, getting the control arm brackets to a frame would be pain, not to mention the weak control arms. This would also be the hardest option to do.
What comes to a drivetrain, either you swap out the whole transmission to a 4wd version, or just the o/d unit. And naturally you'll need a t-case. There you'll have option to go to a divorced t-case, in which case you can leave your current transmission alone. Then there's some wiring to as the speed sensor moves from transmission tailhousing to a t-case.
Either way you go, you'll burn money and time.
