Is your plug melted? Replacing it doesn't fix the issue because the amount of amps running threw it. Look closely at the switch and the plug for any of the pins showing signs of heating up. Also how was the plug replaced? Soldered wires together with heat shrink or but connectors?

soldered joints. Plug was melted. I know that I have to install relays but the new switch I have doesn't allow my dash lights and roof light to be on at the same time as the headlights. I also can feel the heat in the wires when they are on.
