I'll have the heads checked, but if they're crack free I'm going to re-use them.
As far as the cam change idea, nothing aggressive, but a 'little' more power would be nice, but again, I would like a small increase without upsetting the computer. Ideas?
If you are going to use them it would be a good idea to use a 180 stat. These are the cams that comp offers for the magnum that will work without a tune(read notes). Of course a tune will get more out of them. https://www.compcams.com/products/co...ontrolled.html
If you decide not to use the stock heads theses are a good replacement...
As HeyYou said I don't know why a .030 overbore would mess up the computer BUT I can't confirm that. IMHO I'd do the 1.7 roller rockers and then get a tune from HemiFever. A lot of the guys who swapped 5.2/5.9's into their Jeeps got tunes from either HemiFever or FlyinRyan and they said it was money well spent. You can get a 87 octane tune plus a 92 octane tune so when you want a little more umph you have a tune for it. And it's really easy to switch the tune.

I purchased these heads. $579.00 shipped plus tax...... FWIW on another forum that I frequent, 2 members said the shop was reputable..... They lived in the area and said it was well known for stock replacement heads.
The company can be found at thecylinderheadshop.com They are new and supposed to be thicker in areas that tend to crack.
Have not installed yet..... But they look good to me.
