Default Regearing 3.55 to 4.10s

How much would it cost labor wise to regear my truck? I wish my 01 3/4ton had came with 4.10s, but it came with 3.55 gear ratio. Think it'd be better for the Transmission because I'm putting 35s on as soon as these 33s wear out and 4.10 gear ratio shows that 35s are the recommended tire size while 3.55 gear ratio is no where near what I need considering im looking for more low end than high end and the recommended tire size for them are 30s. The oem ring and pinion for 4.10 front and rear are around $440 excluding tax and shipping on moserengineering.

Labor is anywhere from $400 to $800 an axle. If you are 4wd you need to do the front also

How much top speed would I lose? Not really worried about it because I dont like driving fast to begin with but its just good to know plus I rarely drive on the highway. Should help my MPGs since I live in the mountains or will make it worse probably?

Not much as the speed limit kicks in at 95 on my truck. MPG will trade a slight dive (I would say max 1 MPG).

Okay 👍 yeah I've never even gotten past 85-90mph in mine kinda scary driving it fast, Speedometer is probably off as it is with the 33" tires(285/75/16)

4.10's and 35's will have the engine turning about the same RPM as it would with stock tires, and the 3.55's. Probably won't see much of a change in fuel mileage, but, the truck will sure feel a lot better. I have 33's, and 4.56 gears, and that is just too much gear for that size tire. 35's would be better...... 37's would likely be just about perfect... but, I don't have any lift, and I expect 37's would rub.... Tires are my truck are still pretty good, and I have another set of 33's out in the barn for when these wear out..... So, not going larger any time soon. Most of my driving is around town anyway, so, not too much of an issue.

Alright cool thanks for the info In the winter I have 33" mudders that go on so I dont have to use 4x4 much. I think the 4.10 gears will be perfect. I do drive the truck a lot compared to my car, I do a good amount of hauling and work with it. The 35" ats will go on after this winter probably because these 33" all terrains are getting pretty low on tread. Im 100% sure that I don't want to go past 35" tires, what brand tires do you have? The 35s I have are nitto terra grappler have heard really good things about them, the 33s that are on are scattered brands same tread though and the Mts are ardent/roadwarriors

All the reviews are great and I tried them in a 40 and love them. Mud terrian usually sucks in snow and rain but these have been amazing
