Default 4X4 Posi-Lok PSL1100 Axle Shaft Disconnect Actuator

Is this a good idea? Like everyone else's, mine doesn't work. I have installed the Yukon lockout hubs up front, so the hubs are now disconnected until I lock them in. Just wondering if it's a big deal to keep them disconnected until the transfer case is in 4x4. If I'm not understanding this correctly, please pipe in! Link to one on ebay is below.

With locking hubs, you could dispose of the CAD altogether, and just run a solid axle on the passenger side. Or, lock the CAD permanently. No real need to for the posi-lok, with hubs.....

I just got the Posi-Lok kit to keep the front axles permanently locked. I'd still like the 4x4 light indicator, and am wondering if I can replace the 4 prong vacuum switch on my NP241 to a 2 wire actuator switch made for trucks WITHOUT the vacuum operated axle engage mechanism.

Nope what I did in my restoration thread was took the sensor off the CAD (controls the light) machined an adapter and put it in place of the vacuum switch.

There are indicator switches for the NP 241 for Dodge and for GM on the interweb. These roller switches wont work on the same detent the vacuum switch operates off of?

Just did research and that's exactly what I can do. No machining required!

It won't screw in you need to machine a shallow adapter. The hole is bigger than what is in the CAD

Yeah, but there are light switches for the 241 t-case, which I understood CIC2016 is going to use. Like this one: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.tra...-chevy-gmc-88/

That would have saved me a lot of headache. I wonder if it takes the same connector as ours
