okay guys,
As you guys know I have done a ton of work on my Gen 2 over this past 2-3 months. So the last work was performing a tranny shift kit from Oregon Performance Transmission. The only thing I did not perform was a band adjustment on both the front and rear bands. After 2 days of driving her I am getting the dreaded 2nd to 3rd long shift problem. My question is, Is there anything else that can be looked at? I can almost make it happen and it only seems to be between 2nd and 3rd. Any and all input welcomed.

Was it doing that before the shift kit? Usually, delayed shifts are the band adjustment. Shoulda done it while you were in there.

Yes, it was doping it before. Are you freaking kidding me. So the band adjustment is the shift issue and not the Pressure and solenoid's !!! Everyone I spoke to and also some of the threads on here made me believe that it was the switches and solenoids.....So does the forward band handle 1,2 and the rear band handle 3, and 4......??? It's only happened once since the work..,...

Not sure which band does which..... I know the rear band is for manual first, and I think, reverse as well...... There is a spring in one of the actuators that like to fail as well...... Might consider putting a drain plug in your trans pan.

Lol, I tought about that as well.I did change the spring for the actuator that goes up through the housing. I believe that is the one that breaks the most and mine was not broke but changed it anyway. Yeah buying a new drain pan just to drain the fluid for reuse since it only as 200 miles on it..... $60 just in fluid.....
