Default No hi/lo switch or wipers

All,

As I put together my dash, I keep running into electrical gremlins.

The newest ones are that I am able to pull the arm back of the combination switch to the hi beam, but it will not stay on hi. the second issue is that the wipers will not turn on. I've switched out the combo switch apparatus thinking it was this cheap part, but the same result.

All of the fuses are intact, so I'm stuck. Any ideas where to go next to diagnose this?

Is your steering wheel tilted all the way up? If it is, put it down a couple notches, and see if things now want to work.

Doesn't change anything. Any chance the 2 old switches I have do the same thing?

Are both switches used? You may just have two bad switches. These don't fail often, but they do fail enough that replacements are easy to get.
