Default 4wd-2wd 99 ram 350p

Ok so I have a 99 ram 3500 dually with the 24v 5.9 it blew a transfer case and I can't afford a new one can I just by a 2wd drive shaft and take the transfer case and front drive shaft out or do I need to do something else to convert it

Nope, you need that transfer case in there, to seal up the back of the trans. Only other alternative would be to get a 2wd transmission as well as the driveshaft..... and if you are spending that kind of money, just get another t-case. They can be found used..... they are just rare.

thx for the info it will take me like 6 months to have enough for the tcase I was hoping I could just rob a different drive shaft but thx for the help

Start looking now...... They don't come up real often. I would expect that you have the NV241DHD in there.

I would look on the t-case tag, You have a manual trans or automatic? Dodge runs different tcases (splines count) for auto or manual. I had a one ton with a 241HD t-case. Curious on what broke in the t-case? Are you able to rebuild it?
