I just want a newer pounder as I don't have time to be fixing stuff and I'm too cheap to buy brand new, but I can say is I have been pretty impressed so far with the power of the 2016 5.7/8 speed (395HP). Its been snowing here and is quite icy (we get eight of months of winterness up here). Seen a few videos of the 1500 5.7L getting sub 6 sec 0-60 times, sure a big step up in power from the 300000 miler 5.2L magnum. My kid wants to build-up my spare 5.9L (360 gaser).

I do sure miss my 98 2500 quad cab short bed five speed.
I bought the 2001 diesel quad cab specifically because it was a stick and gasser swapped it. I ordered a TRX launch edition. Should be here next week. The 2001 though somebody swapped in a NV3500 behind the Cummins so I have to find a NV4500
