My sticker by the door is long gone, and I can’t seem to find anything online. Thank you.
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GCWR) is how much the truck can weigh with gas, people, cargo, and trailer tongue weight. Anything over that is illegal. Let's say the GVWR is 8800lbs. The truck weighs 5200 with just gas and the driver in it. You are towing a trailer which puts 1800 pounds on the hitch. So you have 1800 pounds left for people and payload (which includes whatever you have such as suit cases, candy, soda, etc)
To find out what your truck is look at the wheel bearing bolts.
4=8800
3=6200 (I believe)
You can try with your VIN here : https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing FCA claims vehicles before 98 are not eligible but it mostly works for older vehicles. Some of the options show up as DESCRIPTION NOT AVAILABLE but the basics are there.
Thank you all! For your responses. My truck has 4 bearing bolts, 8 lugs, and the digit is a “K” I was recently wanting to purchase new shocks from Monroe, the “oe application” shocks, and it said “without 8800” hence confusion.
