Default Exhaust cutouts on the 01 1500 Ram

Anyone have experience running exhaust cutouts on a 2nd gen ram? Generally you would want to have the cutouts prior to the muffler or glass pack but the 2nd gen design causes issues with that due to the gas tank location, especially when you want to run duals with dual cutouts. My build that im doing after the body work and new motor get finished will have shorty headers and most likely 3" pipe and will run dual pipe down the passenger side of the truck. Then I would like to have a side exit exhaust just before the passenger side rear wheel, Nascar style

Doug's headers exhaust cutouts. 1 wire harness to power 2 cutouts.
then continue out the back. Implementing the cutouts is my problem. The only solutions that I can come up with is installing the cutouts after the muffler or moving the muffler further back after the cutouts which won't leave much room.
Any ideas?

A cut out after the muffler defeats the purpose. I've also never seen dual cut outs. Maybe just one on the passenger side? Or run tiny super 10s way in the back so the cut out can be mounted behind the wheels.

Why would anyone put cut outs after the muffler? It accomplished nothing.

I know that it accomplishes nothing if installed behind the muffler. That shouldn't have been even said. If I install the cutouts between the cab and the box and have the exhaust exit between the right rear wheel well and the cab corner then continue the exhaust out the back with mufflers maybe that would work?

The OP hasn't been here since June of last year. Look at the date of the post!

I agree with him. Moparite is trying to help you, no reason to jump on him like that.

but people still view these things. I’m back viewing it. There’s a chance he might’ve seen it. But fair. He hasn’t responded and I’ve still got no answer. Ive already ran the exhaust cut out. So no worries.
