Could be just a bad solenoid. Easy enough to change, if a bit messy.

Does anyone happen to know the pin number on the ecm for the TCC? just got home and went to checking things and the wires at the plug are bare wires so I pulled them apart and tried, still no lockup, so I hooked a test light up to the tcc wire at the plug and the other end to the battery and it was grounded out with the key off, no ground with the key on, and doesnt ground out when driving and when it should engage. So am I looking at an ecm issue?

Download the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. Wiring for your trans should be dead simple, and the problem easy to trace.

yeah I ended up finding it in my Haynes manual, sadly I'm getting continuity to it from the ecm but the ecm isnt commanding the ground. I ran a manual ground to it and it locked up so I know the solenoid is working. But the ecm just isnt commanding the ground.

Yeah, overdrive is working, and working like it should. The converter just doesnt lock up. I even hooked up a test light and drove the truck and it doesnt command it. I figure either the ECM is the issue, OR something is telling the ecm that it doensnt need to command it. Just find it wierd that it was half *** working last weekend and now it's not working at all.
