Default Front shocks will not go in lower mount? (4WD)

I’m going from Rancho 5000’s to Monroe OE spectrum (911193) and the lower mount is a little wider than the ranchos. How can I pry the lower shock mount on the differential to accommodate the new shock? I’ve read of this happening, but no one has said how they bent it back. Thank you.

As in I couldn’t get the new ones in the mount because the shock mount was bent inwards because the previous installer over torqued the ranchos. I bent the bracket out, and now they fit. Thank you though!

Get a piece of threaded rod, 2 nuts, and 2 flat washers. Put the nuts and washers between the mounts, then use the nuts to force
 them apart.

I thought of that, but I was confused about the order. My cousin used a long pry bar to force it apart. They fit perfectly now, thank you so much! I will keep this in mind next time.

I usually just grab 'em with a large pair of channel locks, and bend them out. Works fairly well.

Also, I think the lower shock bolts get torqued to like 110 ft/lbs...... May wanna verify that spec though. I am pretty sure that is correct, I was REALLY surprised when I looked it up.....

I tried channel locks, but the clearance was minimal. The torque specs are 100 ft lbs since I have an E-coat frame.
